Our Lady of Lichen Sanctuary
Marian shrine in Licheń is known primarily for the famous miraculous image of Our Lady of Licheń.
Since July 2010, the Museum of Fr. Józef Jarzębowski operates on the second and third floors

The tower of the basilica is the perfect place to view the region, from the tower you have a great view of the Konin lakes and power stations.
Grąblińska Way of the Cross
Along the asphalt paths of the Grąbliński forest, on high columns there are small waysideshrines, in which there are the Stations of the Cross. There are fifteen stations, and it takes approximately 1 hour to complete the winding two-kilometre route.

To get to the wayside shrines of the Grąblińska Way of the Cross it is best to park your car in the large car park located on the right side of the street (driving from Licheń towards Konin) and use the special footbridge to get across the busy road.
District Museum in Konin
The District Museum in Konin (Gosławice district) is located within the walls of a medieval castle. Furthermore the museum complex includes a nineteenth century granary, open-air ethnographic museum, manor house and a collection of mining equipment. To explore the entire facility you must spend at least 2 to max 5 hours of free time.

Schelters of Ślesin municipality
The World War II shelters are located in hard to reach areas near the Warta-Gopło canal.

There is only one easily accessible shelter near the bridge in Żółwieniec. A tourist guide can help you in finding the rest or you could use a guide book entitled “Polish and German fortifications” by Waldemar Nadolny.
Churches of Kazimierz Biskupi
In Kazimierz you can find some places associated with the cult of the holy brothers. The first of these is the former Bernardine monastery (now the headquarters of the seminary of the Missionaries of the Holy Family), St. Marcin’s Church, a wooden chapel of St. Isaac and the place of a former chapel with a miraculous well, called Łosośna.

The Bieniszew Camaldolese Monastery
The Beniszew hermitage is truly unique as there are only two active Camaldolese monasteries in Poland! According to legend, in the site location of the monastery, in 1003 five studends of St. Romuald suffered martyrdom. Many consider them to be the first Camaldoleses in Poland.

Every Sunday at 10:30 am a solemn Mass is celebrated in the Bieniszew hermitage. Everybody is welcome to participate, including women.
Konin Old Town
Konin Old Town is the perfect place to learn the rich history of the city and the wholeregion of Konin. The most interesting places that you must visit include the Konin pillar – the oldest road sign in Poland with an inscription from 1151, St. Bartholomew Gothic church, a beautiful city hall, the oldest brick house in the city – Zemełko House, the building of the former synagogue, the church of Observant Fathers, Lutheran church or one of the oldest municipal parks in Poland – Chopin Park.

You should set aside approximately 2-3 hours for the stroll through the Konin Old Town. Unfortunately you will only be able to see the vast majority of these attractions from the outside. It is worth to take a walk through the Konin Boulevard stretching along the left bank of the Warta River.
When planning a tour of Konin it is best to first go to the Tourist Information Centre located at ul. Dworcowa 2 in Konin (62 246 32 48, 668 513 877). In the “i” point you will find out what places you should visit. During the tourist season the centre is open 9am-5pm on weekdays and 10am-2pm every Saturday.
Rope Park “Leśny Raj” in Ślesin
Rope Park “Leśny Raj” (Woodland Paradise) – offers active recreation in nature. Thereare 61 obstacles that provide over an hour of safe fun with a large dose of adrenaline under the supervision of professional staff! Variety of obstacles suspended at a height of up 11 metres will not get you bored!

Centre for Education and Entertainment – Scale-Model Dioramas Park
“Mikroskala” in Konin
“Mikroskala” is a park in with scale-model dioramas of educational and entertainment nature, depicting the history of Konin, Poland and the World. Some of them refer to scenes from popular films of world cinemas. Some are interactive, so that the viewer can cause individual elements to be set in motion, or make a sound. There is also the only 6D cinema in Konin in the Education Centre.

Mini ZOO in Konin
Mini Zoo in Konin is located in F. Chopin’s Park. It occupies an area of two hectares. Youcan find 24 species of animals there: eight species of mammals and sixteen species of birds. By the water you can find wild geese, ducks and mute swans. Visitors are also fascinated by pheasants, budgies and Lilliputian hens. The greatest rarity of the Zoo are Przewalski’s horses; relatively rare animals.

From the edge of the pit located next to the town of Kleczew you can admire the vast expanse of the still operated mine in the region of Konin. You should pay a particular attention to the huge excavators, stackers and conveyors, without which no man could handle the extraction of this very precious material.
First open pits in Konin’s region started the process of operation during World Warr II and they were located in the City of Konin. Currently, there are four open pits in the municipalities of the Konin district – Kleczew and Wierzbinek.

Observation Tower (Old Konin)
The wooden observation tower was opened in March 2014. It is an excellent place to “lookdown” on the region of Konin, you can see perfectly both the Konin power plants, as well as the Basilica in Licheń.

You can use an approximately 1 km forest path to reach the top of the Golden Mountain on which the tower is located.
Miller’s Home and Cottage
Koźlak Windmill in Budzisław Kościelny and Miller’s Cottage constitute the MemorialChamber of the Village, Milling and Agriculture. Budzisław windmill is one of the few of its kind in this part of Greater Poland that is open to public. Inside the Chamber there are exhibits depicting the history of the village and milling, as well as an exhibition of old photographs of the farm.

Open-air ethnographic museum in Mrówki
Hidden in a forest, surrounded by marshes and an additional moat there is a motte-and-bailey castle (XIII/XIV century). The archaeological open-air museum in Mrówki is primarily a watchtower (serving as a viewing platform), which together with a half-dugout surrounded by a palisade and moat forms a real medieval defensive fortification. The entire development also includes a bridge, gate, fishing huts and wooden forge.
